Description | | Registration is 8:30-9:00 a.m.; Workshop begins at 9:00 a.m. This workshop is designed to provide participants information to help students in making and using power point in student-led individual education plans. It will include Futures Planning Mapping as a part of the process for becoming a better self-advocate.
Outcomes: Participants will learn why self-advocacy by students with special needs is both desirable and effective. Workshop attendees will experience writing their own power point and hear a student(s) present. The mapping process will be discussed and examples given. |

Prerequisites | | Prerequisites: Participants who are members of the ESU 10 Transition Consortium will be offered a stipend of $100.00 |
Audience | | Audience: parents, educators, paraeducator, SLPs, OT/PT, resource specialists, community providers who have general knowledge of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other Developmental Disabilities |
