Description
**College credit is pending until March 2022** This registration is for a three day series called Navigating the 2021 Shifts in Reading and Writing.
The total three-day series will focus on:
*The new shifts to the 2021 ELA standards for K-12 teachers
*High quality research demonstrating effective literacy instruction
*Connections to the Science of Reading for all grade levels
*Best practices in K-12 literacy instruction, including text sets
*How to apply knowledge from these days of training to your current classroom
This three-day series may be taken alone.
Additionally, we are packaging this three-day series with Write Tools Informative/Explanatory on July 20 and Write Tools Narrative on July 21 to offer 3 hours of college credit through Hastings College. To qualify for the 3 hours of college credit, please do the following:
1. Register for Write Tools Informative Explanatory (link here)
2. Register for Write Tools Narrative (link here)
3. Register for this 3-day series titled Navigating the 2021 Shifts in Reading and Writing
4. Enroll and pay for 3-credit hours through Hastings College through the link here:

. The additional cost for three credit hours would be $675: 3 credit hours at $225 per credit.
5. Participate in all 5 days of training (including both Write Tools workshops and this 3-day series) and complete all coursework listed here
