Description

Lenny VerMaas, math teacher and consultant, will spend the day working collaboratively with teachers to develop their mathematical understanding, flexibility, adaptability and a growth mindset. Some highlights of the workshop include:

Activities to promote student talk-- the person doing the talking learns the most!
Alternatives to traditional homework assignments
Strategies to help students see that expending energy and making mistakes are a part of the learning process
Helping students understand introductory probability and statistics concepts
Strategies to engage students and keep them interested in learning
