DescriptionThis workshop is part of the  Academic Literacy Project Grades K-3 or can be taken as a stand alone workshop.
This training will focus on writing strategies. Facilitators will present strategies that will encourage teachers to implement shorter and more frequent writing opportunities for students in all content areas.  The presentation will also focus on providing opportunities to respond to text through writing as well as discussion. Strategies will be modeled and examples will be shared so teachers can immediately impact student achievement through writing.  Participants will have the opportunity to experience and practice the strategies throughout the training.

AQuESTT Tenet - Educator Effectiveness
CommentsPerkins Consortium member schools will receive $100.00 substitute reimbursement for each classroom teacher participating in the project. Perkins Consortium schools will also receive round-trip mileage for one vehicle when at least 1 CTE teacher participates.  
ESU 10 Title IIA Schools will receive $125 substitute reimbursement per day for each teacher attending.
Registration deadline is two weeks prior to workshop.  Cancellations not received 2 business days in advance will be billed the workshop fee.
