DescriptionThis workshop is part of the  Academic Literacy Project Grades 4-12 or can be taken as a stand alone workshop.
The focus of this session will be on writing across the curriculum.  Participants will learn strategies that encourage students to engage in shorter and more frequent writing opportunities in all content areas.  The presentation will also focus on providing opportunities to respond to text through writing and discussion with specific strategies for text-dependent analysis.  
Adolescent Literacy Project goals are to become familiar with and implement research-based literacy strategies that will increase student achievement for adolescent learners.

CommentsPerkins Consortium member schools will receive $100.00 substitute reimbursement for each classroom teacher participating in the project. Perkins Consortium schools will also receive round-trip mileage for one vehicle when at least 1 CTE teacher participates.  

ESU 10 Title IIA Schools will receive $125 substitute reimbursement per day for each teacher attending.
