| Description | | ESU 9 & 10 invites K-12 science educators to join us at Camp Augustine for three days dedicated to the Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards for Science. Lodging is available, breakfast and lunch are included, outdoor fun, collaboration and more! Find all the information at www.smore.com/6fh21. Register via bit.ly/2019SCIENCE.
Day 1: Gather and synthesize information, ideas, resources, and examples of 3-dimensional teaching and learning with a focus on phenomena based storylines.
Day 2: Analyze and interpret your current reality… What are your next steps on the path to 3-dimensional teaching and learning? Analyze how others in our region are taking on the challenges of implementation. Take advantage of opportunities to collaborate, looking for patterns and strategies of success. Choose to work independently or with grade level colleagues to design and/or refine units of study to share.
Day 3: Communicate with colleagues the work accomplished from Day 1 and Day 2 in an EdCamp scenario. Have a voice in what you share; and a choice in which sessions you attend. Leave Summer Science Retreat with a more fully developed model of 3-dimensional teaching and learning. |
