| Description | | Response to Intervention, a general education initiative, is an individualized, comprehensive assessment and intervention process, utilizing a problem-solving framework to identify and serve students with academic and behavioral needs.
The goals of the Academy are to deepen the district leadership team's understanding of RtI; to integrate RtI with the continuous school improvement model through the analysis and multiple uses of data; and to develop a district-wide RtI plan that includes vision, goals and implementation steps.
This is Day 5 of a 5-day Academy for schools who are just getting involved in the RtI initiative. This is the final session for this school year and will help districts prepare for continuation of RtI implementation during the 2009-2010 school year. For greatest benefit, districts should send a team consisting of an Administrator, SIP Chair, SAT Chair, and Title, Special Education, and Elementary & Secondary Classroom Teacher representatives. |
