Description

Join us for a transformative conference designed to deepen districts’ understanding and implementation of Social-Emotional and Behavioral Learning (SEBL) in schools.

The conference will feature a keynote address by Chandra Essex, NeMTSS Region 4 Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Learning Specialist, who will provide awareness into Restorative Practices.  Restorative Practices focus on building positive relationships in your classroom and schoolwide while addressing behaviors and wrongdoing. This approach strengthens the community and emphasizes accountability by repairing harm rather than punishment.  A goal of Restorative Practices is to also foster a culture of respect and responsibility for all.  In addition, information will be shared about a Restorative Practices training opportunity for districts provided at the state level.

Following the keynote, participants will be able to choose from breakout sessions throughout the day that will focus on topics such as, SEBL in Tier 1, School Safety, Educator Wellness, SEBL Tier 2 Strategies and many others that will support students social-emotional behavioral learning and academic achievement.
