Description

Laying the Foundation
As we work towards the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional materials we begin by laying the foundation. This session will focus on the research based Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices, the Math Practices, and the Instructional Shifts. Throughout the day we will connect the teaching and learning in a variety of instructional materials with the practices and instructional shifts.

We are hosting 2 days due to availability of substitute teachers and flexibility of district participation. Choose which date, September 29th or October 6th, works best in your schedule.

Each participant will receive a copy of Taking Action: Implementing Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
