Marzano Focused Teacher Evaluation Summit
Evaluation should be a practical and relevant initiative focused on growth – not just measurement. As more Nebraska districts learn about the new Marzano Focused Models, now is a great time to discuss best practices for implementation and sustainability for your district.
Dr. Beverly Carbaugh will discuss:
-How teachers should be planning their instruction using the Focused Model
-How to improve inter rater agreement among your observers
-How to provide more specific and relevant feedback to teachers
-How to support leaders as you implement the Focused Leader Models
-How to leverage the power of iObservation
Lunch will be provided -- 11:45 to 12:45 -- if you do not plan to eat the ESU 10 provided lunch please make a note in the dietary restrictions comment box.
Afternoon Session -- 1:00 to 3:30pm
ESU 10 Staff Evaluation Tool
Nate McClenahan will discuss:
-The history of ESU 10's Evaluation Tool
-How the tool is flexible enough to hold your educational model.
-How to perform evaluations.
-How data flows from evidence captured in walk throughs to formal and summary evaluations.
-How summary data about staff can inform professional development.
-How self-evaluation can work to make a more interactive process for evaluation.
-How SLOs (student learning objectives) can be tracked.
-How staff professional goal setting is documented. |
