Attendance at a science workshop at ESU 9 or 10 during the 2017-2018 school year is required to register. Contact Dianah Steinbrink at dianah.steinbrink@esu10.org if you have questions.
Professional Learning:
- Integrate the Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs)
- Collaborate across district and ESU lines to develop 3D lessons and formative assessment tasks. This will include building units, bundling indicators, scope, and sequence.
Outcomes:
- Describe what SEPs would look like in classrooms, providing examples of how to engage students in these practices
- Describe what CCCs would look like in classrooms, providing examples of how to reveal student thinking using the CCCs
- Take a current lesson and shift it to include the 3 dimensions OR develop a new 3D lesson
- Identify possible performance tasks that would assess student learning of the 3 dimensions
