Description

Based on the combined research-affirmed works of Dr. Timothy D. Kanold and Dr. Tina H. Boogren and their 2022 framework, Educator Wellness, this highly engaging workshop will focus your time, energy, routines, and actions on strategies to avoid the physical, mental, emotional, and social stress that educators often face.

K–12 teachers have the highest burnout rate of all industries in the United States and spend nearly 70% of their workday feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. We now know that professional working conditions that attract and retain teachers should build the collective educator wellness capacity of all teachers.

Dr. Boogren will inspire you to:

  • Learn and use neuroscience research about educator wellness routines that influence student achievement

  • Prioritize daily routines for physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness

  • Examine research-backed strategies to avoid prolonged stress, exhaustion, and burnout

  • Utilize robust self-rating protocols to identify wellness routines that build relational and social intelligence

  • Reflect on wellness habits that will have an exponential impact on the quality of your personal and professional life

In the end, the most successful schools pay attention to the creation and development of positive emotions and provide a less stressful workplace and greater job satisfaction for all adults in the school. This workshop teaches faculty and staff, social workers, school leaders, and district leaders how to live and thrive–every day, week, and school year.
