Description | | ESU 10 districts will have an opportunity to revisit their student learning objectives for the purpose of updating their K-12 science curriculum. The purpose of these work sessions is to improve alignment from grade-to-grade and course-to-course, as well as, to more clearly communicate expectations for student learning among staff members. The goal is to make better decisions about what students should learn, what they can learn, and how district educators can help them learn. The goal is to make decisions about what students should learn, what they can learn, and how district educators can help them learn. The desired result is the bridge of curriculum into classroom practice.
Issues concerning instruction and learning topics in science will be explored as teachers and administrators work together to construct a viable outline and set of student expectations. Teams that include representatives from K-12 grade levels/courses are more likely to get their curriculum to a stage ready for implementation. Participants are encouraged to bring laptop computers, if accessible. |
