DescriptionFor educators that want to help students enlarge their vocabulary and get involved in noticing, understanding, and using new words. Teachers will participate in activities that assist in selecting words for instruction, introduce their meanings, and create engaging learning activities that promote both word knowledge and reading comprehension. This class will also focus on providing linguistic supports for English Learners across content areas.

College credit is available through Hastings College. Participants must attend all 4 days. There will be tuition costs of $585.00 (subject to change) for 3 credit hours and the course number to be determined.  Forms will be filled out the first day of class.

ESU 10 Title III Consortium teachers will receive a total of $200 contracted services pay for attending all 4 classes.
