| Description | | The new state science standards place a heavy emphasis on student-led inquiry. The
NeSA-S (Nebraska State Accountability-Science) will ask students to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the comprehensive content standard for inquiry than any of the other standards. During the workshop, we will complete our own science inquiry, through which we will examine the structure of the inquiry process and discover its power in learning substantive scientific content.
We will also work within grade bands to design inquiry-based lessons, share best practices and favorite teaching ideas, receive tips for enhancing instruction, discuss the latest issues in your content area such as state accountability, network and connect with peers, and learn new technology tips. |
