| Description | | Response to Intervention, a general education initiative, is an individualized, comprehensive assessment and intervention process, utilizing a problem-solving framework to identify and serve students with academic and behavioral needs. Randy Allison, national presenter, will provide an introduction to the Response to Intervention (RtI) Academy for School Leadership Teams.
The goals of the Academy are to deepen the district leadership team's understanding of RtI; to integrate RtI with the continuous school improvement model through the analysis and multiple uses of data; and to develop a district-wide RtI plan that includes vision, goals and implementation steps.
This is a 4-day Academy for schools who are just getting involved in the RtI initiative. Days 2, 3, and 4 will take place during the 2008-2009 school year. For greatest benefit, districts should send a team consisting of an Administrator, SIP Chair, SAT Chair, and Title, Special Education, and Elementary & Secondary Classroom Teacher representatives. Each member of the team should register on Odie. |
