Description | | This is a three-session workshop being held on October 25, 2006, December 6, 2006, and January 11, 2007. This year's focus at ESU 10 for developing and/or checking alignment of K-12 curriculum is the social studies/history content area. Determining the alignment of Nebraska Standards, assessments, and district program goals are parts of the process. The purpose of the curriculum review is to check that one level leads to the next in a spiraling curriculum in the mastery of important learning goals as determined by the content area teachers. This process also provides opportunities for revision, where needed for improved student learning of content and skills. The district curriculum committee needs to bring their current K-12 curriculum, textbooks as needed, and at least one representative from each level: primary, upper elementary, middle, and high school. Laptops help the team get a lot accomplished during the work time on the designated days. |
