DescriptionWrite Tools Informative/Explanatory training hosted by Jen Letheby will guide participants to do the following:
  *learn essential writing strategies and engage in hands-on practice applicable to all levels of students (K-12) that can immediately be implemented in their classrooms.
  *focus on the organization of informative/explanatory text  with an emphasis on the writing strategies and techniques to teach the entire writing process.
  *pay special attention as to how these strategies meet the rigors of Academic State Standards. 

This section may be taken alone for those who wish to only participate in the Write Tools training. We are also packaging this workshop with the Write Tools Narrative Writing workshop to create a 1-credit hour course through Hastings College. 

Registering for this section ONLY registers the participant for ONE day of Write Tools training. If you are wanting to take Write Tools for college credit, you MUST register for this workshop (Write Tools Informative/Explanatory), AND Write Tools Narrative Writing, AND register for the course at Hastings College. The cost for this college credit course through Hastings College is $225 for one credit hour. The Hastings College registration cost does not include the training materials or ESU 10 workshop cost; please see below for these separate costs. Participants must also complete the requirements and coursework on the syllabus here.
