DescriptionUtilizing the book, Reading & Writing with English Learners, by Valentina Gonzalez and Melinda Miller, participants will work towards a balanced literacy classroom to support the reading and writing skills of English learners. Participants will engage in live Zoom sessions, implement strategies, and reflect on strategies that promote language acquisition and access to grade-level content.

Comments1 Graduate Level Credit Hour is available through Hastings College. If taking for college credit there will be an additional fee of $225 to cover the credit hour (subject to change).

ESU 10/17 Title III Consortium members will receive a $250 stipend for attending all 3 Zoom sessions and completing all assignments.
