Description | |
The Central Region Transition Team determined that, due to the
importance of writing effective transition-based IEPs and the needs identified
through State auditing, organized training is needed for secondary special
education teachers. The focus will be on creating transition-based IEPs. The
target audience includes middle school and high school case managers,
administrators, and support personnel. A pre/post assessment will be given to
determine the impact of the training.
This training structure includes hosting the same event at
multiple Educational Service Units on the same day. Zoom technology will be
utilized to connect ESU's 9, 11, and 15. ESU 10 will be the host site. Pam
Brezenski, Director of Special Services , from ESU 13 will be the trainer. *(Participants
can choose to drive to ESU 10 for the live presentation or participate via a
Zoom link at their Educational Service Unit. If choosing to participate via
Zoom, you will have to register through your ESU 9, 11, or 15 ODIE site. This
will help us get an accurate lunch count at the host site).
In order to promote attendance and cross-region participation,
grant funds allow for a district to be reimbursed for two substitutes at $100
per participant. Districts are welcome to bring more than two individuals, but only
two substitute reimbursements per district will be offered. A total of 90
substitute reimbursements will be allowed throughout the four ESU's. Lunch
will be included through grant funds.
Pam Brezenski, Director of Special
Services , from ESU 13 will be the trainer. This training structure
includes hosting the event at ESU 10. ESU's 9 and 11 have chosen for their
participants to attend the training at ESU 10 (Everyone attending at ESU 10
will have to register at the ESU 10 ODIE registration site) Zoom
