Description | | SAVE THE DATE! You will receive further instructions necessary for participating via email no later than December 1.
An opportunity for districts to gather writing data for each student in Grades 5-8 will be offered again at ESU 10. Each student paper will be assessed using the TDA rubric (Grades 5-8) which can be found on the NDE website.
Analytical scoring is designed to provide teachers, students, parents, and districts with disaggregated information regarding writing strengths and areas for improvement. Data gathered from this workshop will assist with identifying instructional focus and student practice necessary to increase performance on the state-wide ELA assessment. Past participants have found the professional conversations and results from this process to be very valuable in supporting instruction in the classroom.
Each scorer may bring up to 30 student writing samples. If you would like to bring more than 30 samples, please sign up an additional scorer. If you plan to bring both TDA and ACT samples, sign up ONLY for the workshop (TDA or ACT) that you plan to score. Note: If you choose ACT Grade 11 scoring, you will need to attend both days of the workshop.
