Description | | This class will present specific classroom strategies for managing classroom behavior in proactive and positive ways. The focus is on vision, organization, management plan, teaching expectations, conducting the first four weeks of school, observing student behavior, motivation, class-wide motivational systems, and correcting. Participants will engage in a series of tasks or competencies and will be required to conduct some self-assessment and peer discussion activities regarding these competencies. The participants will be required to design implementation strategies that will fit in their teaching situation. |

Comments | | Registration deadline is one week prior to workshop. Cancellations not received 2 business days in advance will be billed the workshop fee.
Three hours of college credit are available for this workshop through Hastings College. The cost is $190 per credit hour for a total of $570. Payment to Hastings College will be made the first day of the workshop.
Fee is paid for Title IIA Consortium Member Schools. This workshop is eligible for Title IIA contracted services pay and/or substitute reimbursement for teachers at the rate of $100 per day. Each teacher may earn up to a maximum of $500 contracted services pay per summer.
