SLPs "Practicing" Best Practice
- Explore and revise procedures, forms and interventions for ESU 10's new Problem Solving for Articulation Process.
- Standardize ESU 10's Speech Language Assessment Battery by documenting pros and cons of various speech language tests (reliability and validity, administration time, additional needs, support for establishing goals, availability, etc.)
- Discuss ways SLPs can support a pre-referral problem solving process for students with speech language concerns through participation in RtI activities and SAT. This might include helping staff and parents develop appropriate interventions, collecting formative and anecdotal data, as well as providing brief structured interventions.
